Brighton’s Landmarks: Brighton Marina

If long walks by the shore or water sports such as diving, yachting and sailing are your sort of thing, then the Brighton Marina is the place for you. The Marina is great if you want to spend some time there as part of a romantic weekend, if you just to want to spend a day trip, or even just a couple hours; head to Europe’s largest marina today for some great entertainment.

The marina was built in the 1970s and has been a popular attraction ever since.

The marina has a whole host of interesting and fun things for you to do, for instance, shopping, there’s a cinema, a bowling alley, casino, cafes and restaurants for you to eat and drink at, there’s an outdoor ping pong set, as well as New York style chess tables that you can use. Essentially, there is something for everyone.

If you’re the sporty type and want to take advantage of the Brighton shores, there are also a number of businesses in the local area that can help you with that. To book a boat tour, to dive or do almost anything involving water, check out the Brighton Marina ‘Water’ page here:
The Marina also has a lot of offers you can take advantage of right now such as percentages off food, sailing classes for a discount cost and much more. Check out their offers here:

Access is available to the marina throughout the year but do contact individual shops and services on the marina to double check individual opening times.

Parking is free, if you are driving though time restrictions apply.

For more information about the Marina, check out their website:

Getting to Brighton Marina: Brighton Marina is a 40 minute walk along the beach from umi Hotel Brighton; perfect if you feel like a nice walk and a nice meal at the end of it! Alternatively the number 7 bus heads straight there and the stop is only a short distance from umi Hotel London.
