Fringe Festival

04th May to 02nd June 2013

The largest art festival in Brighton, known as Brighton Fringe, starts during the month of May! This festival takes place every May, however, this year for the first time, it will last four weeks! The fringe festival is not only the largest in England but also one of the largest festivals in the world.  The art festival promises not only to be a treat for the eyes, but also hopes to stimulate, educate, and entertain a wide audience by showcasing diverse art forms.

One of the most intriguing things about this festival is that it is a completely open access festival, which means anyone can come and put on an event! Last year over 50% of the events at the show were by Brighton & Hove artists. In addition there were 743 individual events, 171 free events, 3622 performances 193 venues!

The Fringe Festival welcomes all kinds of art; in fact, it encourages diversity! If you find yourself near Brighton from the 4th of May to 2nd of the June, make sure you stop by!
