Brighton Comedy Festival 2014

From 10 October to 25 October 2014

The funniest festival of them all returns to Brighton next month! Brighton’s annual Comedy Festival 2014 is heading towards its thirteenth year with a spectacular line-up. The festival is all about laughter and presenting the best live comedy of the year. It’s held at various venues throughout Brighton, including the Brighton Dome, The Old Market and Komedia. There will be over 70 performances filled with laughter for you to enjoy!

Not only does the festival present the best of British stand-up comedy, but also the next generation of talent, including Rich Hall, Simon Amstell, Jack Dee, Milton Jones, Adam Hills (who is hosting this year’s Opening Night Gala!), Romesh Ranganathan, Josh Widdicombe and many more. To present the inaugural Squawker Award, they have teamed up with Brighton’s Komedia and Jill Edwards Comedy Workshops.

A few of the highlights of the festival include the Ivo Graham: Bow Ties & Johnnies show on 22 October at 20:30 at Komedia. Ivo is the So You Think You’re Funny? winner and said to be “one of the best young comedians around”! Another highlight is the Squawker Award Final on 15 October at 20:00 at Komedia, which is Brighton’s very own new act competition.
