Brighton Festival 2014

The Brighton Festival includes more than 140 events in music, theatre, circus, film, art, dance, debate, literature, family and outdoor events. You can choose from different tickets which include free events, £10 or less, or exclusive tickets.

This annual festival takes place for three weeks in various venues across Brighton & Hove. This year will be the festival’s 48th year! The Brighton Festival is considered to be a very innovative event with a daring and ambitious programme. It is also England’s biggest mixed arts festival! The artists and audience come from all over the UK and beyond. This year, the festival welcomes choreographer Hofesh Shechter as the sixth Guest Director. Previous directors have included; Michael Rosen, Vanessa Redgrave, Aung San Suu Kyi, Anish Kapoor and Brian Eno. 

Some of the highlights of the event include: The Children’s Parade, The Music Box Orchestra, Creative Writing with Catherine Johnson, A Bookmaking Workshop, A String Quartet, A Meet and Greet with bestselling author Angie Sage, The Brighton and Sussex Medical School Debate and many more!
