Possibly the most beautiful rink in the UK, Brighton’s Royal Pavilion ice rink opens to the public for the 4th year running. The ice rink has the beautiful former Royal pleasure palace as backdrop and an 800 square metre rink that offers space for 250 skaters per session. There’s a beginner area for the little ones with penguin skate aids and skate sizes starting from ‘just walking’ to adult sizes.
Now to 24 December
What better way to get in the Christmas spirit than visiting the German Style Christmas Market in Brighton. For its 7th year running, Churchill Square will once again be transformed into a magical place with the return of the German Style Christmas Market! This German Style Christmas Market is made up of 14 authentic, beautifully decorated huts. These huts offer something for everyone. From Fine art, textiles, ceramics, jewelry, printmaking, soaps, candles and yummy goodies; there is something for everyone and prices to suit all pockets!
The Undercliff Walk in Brighton is a less well known treasure that is definitely worth discovering.
It’s a beautiful walk where you will discover a 25m high Chalk Cliff. Taking the walk is akin to walking along a battlement but “the enemy is not an army or even a navy, but the sea.” The walk starts by the Marina and goes 5km past Ovingdean and Rottingdean to Saltdean. The wall was built originally in the 1930s to prevent to erosion of the chalk cliffs which forms over 85,000,000 years ago.
