The month of May is all about cars! After the HCVS Run on the 5th of May, The annual Regency Run comes to Brighton on the 12th. For those unfamiliar with the Regency Run, it is a car showcase organised by MG Car Club and the MG Owners’ Club. The vintage cars start in South London and drive all the ways to the seas of Brighton. You will see all sorts of MGs along Madeira Drive, from the 1920s to the present day, from the very classy to the nifty and sporty. Make sure you step outside and pick your ‘dream car’.

The Great Escape music festival comes to Brighton in the middle of May, showcasing emerging artists from all over the world. The festival is held in over 34 venues across Brighton and hosts over 350 up and coming bands.

The London to Brighton Run of the Historical Commercial Vehicle Society is one of the best and most-seen events along the Drive. Close to 200 vehicles are entered, displaying a wide range of historical periods as well as commercial functions. This event starts at Crystal Palace and ends at Madeira Drive in Brighton so head on over to see historic “commercial vehicles, buses, fire engines, vans, and steam vehicles of all sizes”. VROOM!

The largest art festival in Brighton, known as Brighton Fringe, starts during the month of May! This festival takes place every May, however, this year for the first time, it will last four weeks! The fringe festival is not only the largest in England but also one of the largest festivals in the world. The art festival promises not only to be a treat for the eyes, but also hopes to stimulate, educate, and entertain a wide audience by showcasing diverse art forms.
